Classical homepathy The first thing to understand is that Homeopathic treatments are designed to cure the being as a whole and not it’s individual symptoms taken separately. Homeopathic remedies treat therefore a person and not a sickness, there is no given remedy for a particular sickness. People with an identical sickness will not necessarily need the same remedy. As a classical Homeopath, I will explore during the consultation all the different aspects of the patient, his physical manifestations as well as his emotional or psychological traits, and also the cause of the imbalance which produced the appearance of the sickness (es). The consultation During your first visit, I will take down all your symptoms and unwellness, your food cravings, aversions and intolerances, how is your appetite, your thirst, your sleep, your recurrent dreams, etc... We will also explore together what you are sensitive to, your fears and phobias ( dogs, thunderstorms, calustrophobias, robbers...) etc... The purpose of this investigation is to find the Homeopathic remedy the most closely resembling all your symptoms ( physical, emotional, psychological). Each individual is unique and I must understand what is characteristic of you, and makes you a unique person in the way you express your individuality. Once the consultation is over, I will give you the Homeopathic remedy suiting you personnally. You must allow 2h30 to 3h30 for this first visit. What to expect after your first visit In a number of cases, and often in the first 48 hours after taking the remedy, you may experience a tiredness and/or a slight increase in your existing symptoms as the action of the remedy increases. Usually , a general well being and a decrease in your syptoms follow quickly after. You may also observe in the following week the return of symptoms you have not had for a long time but which will subside rapidly. It is as if your body went through a cleansing period. All this is the natural process of healing and the best attitude is to let things be and do nothing. If you are worried you can always call my office. It is very important to note down all that is happening in chronological order if possible. Following visits and duration of treatment After 4 weeks approximately, you will be asked to come back for a second visit to evaluate the changes. We will see together how much your condition has improved, and see if more medication is required, if the potency needs to be changed or if a new remedy is required to continue the cure. The remedy is not always repeated at each visit as it’s effect is a prolonged one. From visit to visit your symptoms should decrease steadily, but it is rare that a chronic condition disappears in just a few visits. In such conditions, complete cure may be expected in a year or more. Other visits will usually take place on a 6 weeks basis, which means around 8 visits in a year. Nevertheless, in recent chronic conditions and in acute diseases, only a few visits may suffice. Follow-up visits will take 45 to 60 minutes. Acute conditions during treatment of chronic conditions If you fall sick acutely during your chronic treatment ( colds, flus, gastros, intoxication...) it is recommended to make an emergency appointment ( which usually are in the late afternoon and can also be done over the phone if you cannot easily move about) so that I can take your case and recommend the proper Homeopathic remedy. To monitor your acute condition and make the appropriate suggestions as to the remedy and it’s potency, follow-ups must be done within short intervals by phone or internet. Once this episode is over we will resume the treatment of your chronic condition. To make an appointment, call (514)271-2550 |
